I have been grooming dogs for over 28 years now. I started as a kennel assistant after completing my BTEC in Animal Care. At the kennels, I trained for 2 years with Look North to do my City & Guilds 7750 Dog Grooming qualification which I gained in 1996. I was a manager at the kennels for over 3 years where I continued to improve my grooming.
After the kennels, I worked at local groomers for two years. I then went on to work at a local college where I trained for 2 years to gain my CERT FET level 4 stages 1 & 2 in teaching. After that, I then went on to build and manage a successful grooming business over the past 8 years.
I have achieved 2 units in my Higher Diploma in Dog Grooming and I also hold my LCGI.
When I have time, I enjoy volunteering at the local rescue charity Animals in Need. I also have my own two pet dogs who are both Pets As Therapy dogs where we volunteer regularly in schools and care homes.
